Mobile Manager has been updated.
Enhancements
Additional iOS 13 functionality has been added to Mobile Manager. The addition of these iOS 13 settings will give districts more control over what device functionality a student has access to and provide additional options for device setup.
- W-Fi Policy: Added the WPA3 encryption type.
- Allow Network Drive Access: If disabled, prevents connecting to network drives in the Files app.
- Allow USB Drive Access: If disabled, prevents connecting to any connected USB devices in the Files app.
- OAuth: If enabled, uses OAuth for authentication.
- OAuth Sign In URL: The URL to use for signing in via OAuth. If this URL is specified, Exchange Server Host is required.
- OAuth Token Request URL: The URL to use for token requests via OAuth.
- Exchange Server Host: The Exchange server hostname or IP address.
- Enable Calendars: If disabled, turns off Calendars for this account. Calendars can be re-enabled in Settings unless Allow Users to Enable Calendars is disabled.
- Allow Users to Enable Calendars: If disabled, prevents the user from enabling Calendars.
- Enable Contacts: If disabled, turns off Contacts for this account. Contacts can be re-enabled in Settings unless Allow Users to Enable Contacts is disabled.
- Allow Users to Enable Contacts: If disabled, prevents the user from enabling Contacts.
- Enable Mail: If disabled, turns off Mail for this account. Mail can be re-enabled in Settings unless Allow Users to Enable Mail is disabled.
- Allow Users to Enable Mail: If disabled, prevents the user from enabling Mail.
- Enable Notes: If disabled, turns off Notes for this account. Notes can be re-enabled in Settings unless Allow Users to Enable Notes is disabled.
- Allow Users to Enable Notes: If disabled, prevents the user from enabling Notes.
- Enable Reminders: If disabled, turns off Reminders for this account. Reminders can be re-enabled in Settings unless Allow Users to Enable Reminders is disabled.
- Allow Users to Enable Reminders: If disabled, prevents the user from enabling Reminders.
- Include All Networks: If enabled, routes all traffic through the VPN.
- Exclude Local Networks: If this and Include All Networks are both enabled, routes all local network traffic outside the VPN.
- Provider Designated Requirement: Required if the VPN provider is implemented as a system extension.
- Provider Type: The type of VPN service. If the provider is app-proxy, the service will tunnel traffic at the application level. If the provider is packet-tunnel, the service will tunnel traffic at the IP layer.
